The Slovenian Government Office for Slovenians abroad calls for short videos about Slovenians and their lives abroad to be published on the Portal slovenci.si.
They ask if anybody already has recordings or would be willing to create videos on this subject.
The topics they are most interested in are:
- life of Slovenian communities abroad
- Slovenian language, dialects and cultural heritage
- history of Slovenian emigrants
- customs, tradition and important people
- life of young Slovenians abroad
- highlights of places where Slovenians live
- activities of societies and other organisations
They would like to receive short informative films in the vertical format 9 :10 suitable for publishing on YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook and other social media. The recommended length of videos is around 30 seconds up to maximum 3 minutes.
An important goal of the project is to use these films for educational purposes. They would like to present them to elementary and secondary schools as additional teaching material for lessons of history, geography, Slovenian language and other subjects. They wish to show young people the life of Slovenian communities abroad as well as common history, culture and identity of Slovenes.
Please let the Office know if you already have such videos or you have suggestions for such contents or interviews that could be included in this project.
Please also provide permissions for public use of such material for educational purposes.
Any material, suggestions, proposals, links to existing material or questions should be sent to pr.urad.slovenci@gov.si
